DMCA Policy

How to report copyright infringement and how we handle DMCA notices and counter-notices.

At a glance. Business Skill Forge respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on our Site infringes your copyright, send a complete DMCA takedown notice to contact@businessskillforge.com with subject “DMCA Notice.” If your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice.

1. Designated agent

Our designated DMCA agent for notices of claimed infringement is:

2. Filing a DMCA takedown notice

To file a notice of claimed copyright infringement under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c), send an email to the designated agent above containing all of the following information:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, in the case of multiple works at the Site, a representative list);
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information sufficient for us to locate it (e.g., the URL on this Site);
  4. Your contact information, including your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

Incomplete or improperly formed notices may not be actionable. Knowingly making false claims of infringement may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

3. Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice. Send an email to the designated agent containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature;
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal;
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number;
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the U.S., a federal court in California), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification or an agent of that person.

4. Repeat infringers

We will, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

5. Other claims

Claims of trademark infringement, defamation, publicity-rights violations, or other content concerns should also be sent to contact@businessskillforge.com with a clear description of the alleged violation and the URL where the content appears.
