Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making Business Skill Forge usable by everyone, and how to report a barrier.

At a glance. Business Skill Forge is committed to making our Site accessible to people with disabilities. We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. If you encounter a barrier, please email contact@businessskillforge.com with the subject “Accessibility” and we will respond within 5 business days.

1. Our commitment

We believe finance education should be accessible to everyone. We design, build, and maintain businessskillforge.com to be usable by the widest possible audience, including people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities. We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

2. Standards we follow

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA (target)
  • Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act (where applicable)
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidance for digital accessibility
  • The European Accessibility Act (EAA) where applicable for users in the EU

3. Features we’ve implemented

  • Skip-to-content link on every page
  • Proper heading hierarchy (one H1 per page)
  • html lang="en-US" declaration
  • Mobile-responsive design with no horizontal scroll on any viewport above 320px
  • Color contrast meeting WCAG AA on body text and primary CTAs
  • Keyboard navigability for all interactive elements (calculators, forms, navigation)
  • ARIA labels on icon-only buttons and links
  • Forms with associated <label> elements and live-region status announcements
  • Reduced-motion respect: animations are disabled when users prefer reduced motion
  • Alt text on all meaningful images
  • Semantic HTML (proper use of <nav>, <main>, <article>, <aside>, lists)

4. Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of the Site may not yet be fully accessible:

  • Some third-party embeds (such as ad-network frames or video players) may not meet WCAG AA contrast or keyboard requirements.
  • Older blog images may lack descriptive alt text; we are auditing and remediating these progressively.
  • Some legacy calculator interactions assume mouse-based input; we are refactoring these to be fully keyboard-operable.

If you identify an additional limitation, please tell us — reports from real users are the most useful feedback we receive.

5. Browsers and assistive technologies we test with

  • Recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
  • NVDA + Firefox on Windows
  • VoiceOver + Safari on macOS and iOS
  • TalkBack + Chrome on Android
  • Keyboard-only navigation

6. Request alternative formats

If you need any course material, e-book, or template in an alternative format (large print, audio, structured text), email contact@businessskillforge.com with the subject “Accessibility Request” and we will provide it within 10 business days at no charge.

7. Report a barrier

Email contact@businessskillforge.com with:

  • The URL where you encountered the barrier
  • A description of what you were trying to do
  • The assistive technology you were using (if applicable)
  • Your contact info so we can follow up

We commit to acknowledging your report within 2 business days and providing a resolution or workaround within 10 business days.

8. Continuous improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We audit the Site quarterly with automated tools (axe-core) and manual review, and we incorporate accessibility into every new feature we ship.
