Total crypto market cap: $2-3 trillion. Fully Diluted Valuation (FDV) uses total maximum supply rather than circulating supply — meaningful for projects with large unlocks ahead. Market cap shouldn't be confused with money invested — small order flows can move market caps dramatically (illiquid altcoins). Compare market caps to traditional financial assets: $1T total crypto vs. $10T+ for gold, $40T for global bond market, $80T+ for global equity.
