Auto Insurance Liability

Insurance

Auto insurance liability coverage pays for bodily injury and property damage you cause to others in an accident. State minimums vary widely (sometimes as low as 25/50/10 — far too low for modern medical and vehicle costs). Recommended minimums: 100/300/100 ($100K per person bodily injury, $300K per accident, $100K property damage). A single serious accident with major medical bills can easily exceed $500K — without adequate liability, your assets and future wages are at risk. Combine high auto liability with umbrella insurance for true protection. Liability is the most important auto coverage; collision and comprehensive are secondary.
